Hi all!
Thanks for visiting my blog. This is a site for me to update anyone interested on my travels and experiences in India...and also to cut down on the number of emails I have to send ;).
Nancy and I are heading to Delhi on April 2. We will be doing 4 weeks of medical work with Child Family Health International (www.cfhi.org) - 3 weeks in Delhi and 1 week in rural Jaipur. We will be rotating at various clinics and hospitals that are addressing some of the public health issues in India - treating underserved populations like women, "street children", injection drug users, and transgendered people; managing infectious diseases like malaria, TB, and HIV; and learning about the socio-ecomonic, environmental, and cultural issues that affect health care delivery in India.
John (Nancy's husband) and Jeremy (my boyfriend) will be joining us while we are there, and traveling with us for 2 weeks after our medical rotation is over. We will be sipping tea in Darjeeling, checking out Bollywood in Mumbai, and striking some yoga poses in Goa...all while navigating the crowds, chaos, and smells of one of the most complex and populous places on earth.
Stay tuned!
